“Having stood in John Lewis and spent some time oggling all the TV’s on show, when comparing like for like, the saturation of colours, crispness of picture and viewing angle of this TV appeared to me to be superior to the SONY rival of a similar specification.

Now home – the picture quality of this TV is still its strongest point. When paired with a blu ray player and a disc such as BBC’s ‘Nature’s Great Events’ the picture is excellent. The definition of the colours is very strong and a good replication of reality. The motionflow also seems to be keep things smooth.

Generally the TV has a feel of quality from the remote to the TV guide. The setup was very easy with both Freeview and Freesat. It’s worth spending a bit of time tweaking the settings to optimise the picture.

I am still finding how to use the hand set. But no problems really it is technology that we all have to embrace. I watched my SD card on the TV last night far better than on a computer screen and music plays as well. The picture quality for the photos was really good.

My husband now says that we will have to get new SD cards so we can keep our photos to watch on the TV. To watch TV programmes in HD is excellent.

“I’m not usually prone to outbursts of exitement over electronic goods, but this TV rocks! I spent a couple of years putting off upgrading to flatscreen because I couldn’t see the point of spending that much money. If i had known what a difference it made I would have bought sooner.

Most of the technical jargon that accompanies this TV goes straight over my head, the bit that does make sense to me is that it was delivered in time for the British Grand Prix, and had paid for itself by the end of the race! In our house we don’t care about how many pixels or HDMI ports it has.

“We bought this to replace a very expensive and very disappointing Sharp LCD TV that then started having serious problems when it was only 2-3 years old. After the experience with the Sharp TV we read through numerous reviews before deciding on a Panasonic. We chose the TX-L32S10 because it was on budget and got consistently good reviews.

SET UP AND EASE OF USE – fantastically easy to set up and use, very much ‘plug and play’.
REMOTE CONTROL – good remote with chunky buttons and logical layout
PICTURE QUALITY – simply outstanding.
SOUND QUALITY – excellent with good clarity and tone.
GUIDEPLUS EPG (Programme Guide) – great for us because we never buy TV guides. However, Panasonic do this little advert thing in the left hand column and I agree with others that we should have the choice and facility to switch these off.

On the whole though we are really impressed with this TV and especially with picture and sound quality which are just excellent. We are now looking for an HDD/DVD player and, having read the reviews for these, it’s going to have to be a Panasonic – we hope it will be equally impressive!”

“Had been thinking about investing in a new TV for the last year and after a fairly extensive amount of research decided on this Panasonic. Being a technophobe I was worried about the set-up and getting my head round a new piece of equipment. No need.

Apart from having to take it out of the box and plug it in, it virtually did everthing itself. The picture quality is fantastic and the remote is really user-friendly. As ever with Amazon it was competitively priced, and it was up and running two days after I’d ordered it.

I’m 100% pleased with it and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a 32″. It is now the envy of all my friends and will be the perfect replacement television for my 85 year old mother who’s even more of a technophobe than me!”

“I will start with the negative which is I could not believe how stingy the power lead length was – it barely reaches a trailer on the floor as the lead is 1m. Lets bear in mind it is designed to not only work on a tv stand but on the wall, it hardly reaches the floor, so come on Panasonic, let us have 2m long lead next time, yes?
The TV itself it absolutely fantastic. I waited about two year for this make of flat screen LCD; our previous tv was an old style but not broken so it took a house move to a poky living room to push me into the decision of splashing out on one. I have placed it on the mantlepiece which is possible if it is at least 22cm deep as the stand is less deep than that.

It was easy to connect the frame by first placing the tv on a clean soft cloth (I also placed the plastic cover on this to prevent any dust on the screen) sliding the frame into it and securing with the provided screws (philips screwdriver required). Set up comprised the difficulty of bringing the power trailer close enough to reach the end of the lead, and commecting up and the scart lead. I have a freesat box so have one HD channel so this tv was going to be the first time I got to experience that so I connected the HD lead up too. Being a 1080 screen it is capable of true HD quality.

I switched on the tv, then the freesat and all else was done for me; the picture was great – I could appreciate the HD as being higher quality than the other channels too. The whole install was painless and quick and I have only the regret i did not get one sooner. This tv is both the best you will get for the price and the best there is. I am basing this on the reviews I have read both here and the main consumer magazine which influenced my decision to buy this in the first place and on my own eyes and ears.”

“I bought this TV knowing that Panasonic is a brilliant and reliable brand, having sold earlier, lower spec models onto relations. The Freeview tuner is fantastic, with detailed clear pictures. The Freesat HD has crystal clear pictures on BBC HD and ITV HD, but the sound has to be turned down low on BBC HD, as any bass seems to vibrate the speakers. The inclusion of 4 HDMI inputs is very welcome. The ability to tune into satellite channels other than Freesat is also a bonus.

I am using this as a bedroom TV, and it is very aesthetically pleasing, and not at all imposing. You really do not need to study the instructions too closely, as the set-up and remote feels instinctual. I have not connected it to the internet however as my router is in the living room.

Overall, considering the specifications, great value for money!

*Update 22/10/09: Ref issues with the sound reproduction- Panasonic confirm there is a sound vibration problem with the back panel on this model, and if your set is affected, will remedy the problem free of charge.

I’ve just had mine done today, and the sound reproduction is now perfect! Telephone Panasonic on: 0844 844 3852 and they will arrange for a local engineer to go to your home and remedy the problem. Job done!”

“Very happy with the picture quality – the SD channels look almost as good as the HD. Great to have Freesat and Freeview built in removing the need for external boxes. Plenty of inputs and outputs in a variety of forms.

I especially like the SD card slot on the left hand side. I have a 4Gb card in here which is ideal for putting photos and even movies on which will play back very easily.

My only real complaint is with the wall mounting fixing points. When you attach a mounting braket this completely obscures the audio phono sockets. Not a big deal, obviously.

Otherwise an excellent TV much to be recommended.”

“We bought this to replace a very expensive and very disappointing Sharp LCD TV that then started having serious problems when it was only 2-3 years old. After the experience with the Sharp TV we read through numerous reviews before deciding on a Panasonic. We chose the TX-L32S10 because it was on budget and got consistently good reviews.

SET UP AND EASE OF USE – fantastically easy to set up and use, very much ‘plug and play’.
REMOTE CONTROL – good remote with chunky buttons and logical layout
PICTURE QUALITY – simply outstanding.
SOUND QUALITY – excellent with good clarity and tone.
GUIDEPLUS EPG (Programme Guide) – great for us because we never buy TV guides. However, Panasonic do this little advert thing in the left hand column and I agree with others that we should have the choice and facility to switch these off.

On the whole though we are really impressed with this TV and especially with picture and sound quality which are just excellent. We are now looking for an HDD/DVD player and, having read the reviews for these, it’s going to have to be a Panasonic – we hope it will be equally impressive!”

“Had been thinking about investing in a new TV for the last year and after a fairly extensive amount of research decided on this Panasonic. Being a technophobe I was worried about the set-up and getting my head round a new piece of equipment. No need.

Apart from having to take it out of the box and plug it in, it virtually did everthing itself. The picture quality is fantastic and the remote is really user-friendly. As ever with Amazon it was competitively priced, and it was up and running two days after I’d ordered it.

I’m 100% pleased with it and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a 32″. It is now the envy of all my friends and will be the perfect replacement television for my 85 year old mother who’s even more of a technophobe than me!”

“I will start with the negative which is I could not believe how stingy the power lead length was – it barely reaches a trailer on the floor as the lead is 1m. Lets bear in mind it is designed to not only work on a tv stand but on the wall, it hardly reaches the floor, so come on Panasonic, let us have 2m long lead next time, yes?
The TV itself it absolutely fantastic. I waited about two year for this make of flat screen LCD; our previous tv was an old style but not broken so it took a house move to a poky living room to push me into the decision of splashing out on one. I have placed it on the mantlepiece which is possible if it is at least 22cm deep as the stand is less deep than that.

It was easy to connect the frame by first placing the tv on a clean soft cloth (I also placed the plastic cover on this to prevent any dust on the screen) sliding the frame into it and securing with the provided screws (philips screwdriver required). Set up comprised the difficulty of bringing the power trailer close enough to reach the end of the lead, and commecting up and the scart lead. I have a freesat box so have one HD channel so this tv was going to be the first time I got to experience that so I connected the HD lead up too. Being a 1080 screen it is capable of true HD quality.

I switched on the tv, then the freesat and all else was done for me; the picture was great – I could appreciate the HD as being higher quality than the other channels too. The whole install was painless and quick and I have only the regret i did not get one sooner. This tv is both the best you will get for the price and the best there is. I am basing this on the reviews I have read both here and the main consumer magazine which influenced my decision to buy this in the first place and on my own eyes and ears.”

“Having looked and researched older models and spent hours looking around the web, we went for this LCD and very pleased we did. It ticks all the right boxes in terms of build quality and offers 100hz which for us was important for sports and fast moving action shots.

We did think about going for full 1080 HD but having looked into it decided to go for HD ready as apart from Blue-ray little else is actually transmitted in 1080 and for a screen of this size it was not deemed necessary. It goes beyond last years award winning models with some changes to the ability to alter settings and Pro 4 instead of Pro3 processor. Having seen this and last years side by side there is a some small improvements to be seen.

We managed in the end to get it from a Panasonic shop with a free 5 year warranty, we paid a little more than the cheapest net prices without such a warranty.

Panasonic is quality that is easy to detect and we are very pleased and think is a great all round points scorer that deserves 5 stars.”

“We put a lot of thought into which make and which size of TV we wanted to buy. This one (TX-L32X15) seemed to offer best value for money. Our area (Borders, we have moved house) went digital first, so we have been working with a HDD box and an ancient tube set up to now. The change in quality was dramatic. It is great to get a TV which receives freeview programmes direct. The picture quality is very good. The image is sharp and the colours are well saturated. We just used the default settings to begin with and we only needed to turn the brightness up a wee bit. I had read some doubts expressed about the audio quality of this model, but it is fine for us. We have a large room and at last I can read the text.

If I had one problem with it, it is the fact that there are advertisements on the programme guide which makes it very difficult for me to use it. I cannot use browsers with flash and so forth as it triggers migraines, so to find moving/flashing advertisements on the programme guide is a real pain for me. As far as I can see you cannot turn the ads off. But I had read about this in advance, and I still bought the set as it is not essential to rely on the guide. I just use the guide on the black box recorder, which sort of defeats the object of buying a TV with a guide. But, that is a detail and it does not affect the picture or sound on the TV. Most people would have no problem with it, but then most people never got knocked down and therefore never banged their heads on the road.

“I am a CRT fan, believing that the picture on LCD sets did not come up to the standard of a good CRT model. I had been impressed with movies shown on my sons Panasonic LCD set, which is am old model and decided to take the plunge.

After much research I chose the Panasonic and certainly seemed to have made the right decision.

After receiving the set I set it up to my personal picture taste. Even with an indoor aeriel the pictures are outstanding on nearly all channels. DVD movies are excellent, although it will not improve a poor copy. I am so pleased I bought this set.”

“I have never seen such amazing picture. Once connected to an HD box I could not believe my eyes. The picture is so bright and vibrant, and so clear and crisp. You can tell the difference in HD programmes straight away compared to normal broadcasted programme.

I saw every detail imaginable. However you have to make sure that all your settings are right and at the optimum level. The downside is that there are still not many popular programmes transmitting in HD so I regret not shelling out the extra £ the same TV with Freesat as you can watch ITV (champions league) in HD.

All I need now is another SKY box in my kitchen as I already have an HD TV there.”

“This was bought for my retired father-in-law who does not have the internet. Placed the order on Saturday lunchtime and was at his door first thing monday morning – Fantastic delivery service. The television itself is (apparently) very easy to set up, happened in a couple of minutes and very easy to use (for a man in his mid-sixties!). Picture quality is amazing. This set is used with the built in freeview rather that Sky/Virgin. From what he has said I am slightly jealous as I had only recently bought a 32″ LG – which although very good, I am wondering if I had made the right decision! (haven’t seen the Panasonic in the “flesh” as it is 500 miles away but the descriptions I am getting over the phone are very positive). Definately one to consider.”

“I needed to get a new tv as my previous CRT tv stopped working. After researching various tvs and reading forums/ magazines I concluded that getting a 720 HD tv for a 32inch is more than enough. 1080p which this tv doesnt have is not necessary for a 32 inch. So in that sense you automatically save around 200 pounds as the 1080p listed at the time was £600.
The viera has excellent picture and very easy to setup. The picture has 720 viewing meaning that when people view the tv from any angle the picture is still excellent. Standard TV picture for this is below CRT TV but I understand that its very difficult to beat CRT on standard definition. These tv’s only come alive when hooked up to blu ray(PS3).
I would recomend this tv. You cant’ go wrong. Panasonic have made a solid tv”

“I bought this TV from the results published in the latest report on LCD and Plasma TV’s from Which? This TV is a Which? Best Buy. I live in a poor reception area and my antenna is in the attic and it has no problem tuning in all channels.

The electronic program guide (EPG) is excellent and the Teletext is fast. The remote control has large buttons which may be a plus for some people. There is also a slot for pay-tv cards for TopUp TV or Setanta Sports. The overall design is very well thought out and the pictures on Amazon don’t do it justice as the stand and LCD surround are in gloss black. Overall I’m very please with my purchase as it has transformed the family’s whole viewing experience and the old Playstation2 games, such as Pro Evo Soccer 3, have been given a new lease of life. The Panasonic TX-32LXD80 seemed such a good buy and such a good price too. It arrived this morning, I unpacked it, put it in its place, plugged it in together with all the necessary cables (DVD player & Sky+HD Box) and switched it on.

The television immediately begun to set itself up by scanning for stations etc. All this took minutes and I had to do virtually nothing – Great. Once it had settled down I switched it to Sky and was amazed at how much clearer and crisper the picture was. Then I tried HD, WOW. If this is a Panasonic entry level television, what can the better models be like???

To say I was pleasantly surprised is a gross understatement. This really is a beautiful television, both in quality of picture and design. Some people say the sound is a bit tinny, but I totally disagree, the sound is just right and anyway, if you were not happy with the sound you can alter it if you wish.

Summing up then; this is a brilliant television and I have no hesitation in awarding it 5 Stars.”
